Aims of the Nursery
Every child is special and unique.
- We aim to show every child that they are individual, that they have gifts and talents special to them and to draw out these attributes, so that each is able to fulfil his or her potential.
- We aim to promote a learning environment which is exciting and stimulating, where children learn through a combination of personal enquiry, practical experiences and adult-initiated learning.
- We aim to promote an ethos which encourages the values of self-respect, self-control, a respect for each other and of the environment.
- We aim to foster good manners, politeness and a concern for others.
- We aim to encourage the development of each child as a whole, personality, emotionally, spiritually & academically.

General Information
Opening Hours: We are open from 8:00am until 6:00pm Monday to Friday. We are closed for all Bank Holidays and for a week over Christmas. You will not be charged for these days.
Pastoral Care: We are a friendly nursery with a caring atmosphere. Staff treat each child as an individual and work closely with parents to ensure total care of their child. Communication between nursery staff and parents is important if a child is to make good progress. The nursery runs a "Key Worker" system.
Discipline: Just as the nursery staff value the children in their care, so we expect the children to value their environment and the relationships they form. We emphasise respect for one another, tolerance for each other's point of view and practices which promote safety in the nursery.
Lunches: The cost of a daily cooked lunch is included in the fees. A menu is posted at the entrance to the nursery. The meals are cooked on the premises with some of the vegetables from our own nursery garden. Our cook will liquidize the food for the babies and caters for all special dietary requirements.
